I pray with all my heart that nations will stop competing with each other and join hands; that they will lay down their weapons en masse; that they will prove that civilization is the product of equality, balance, and peace; that they will respect each other's existence and let go of all fear and doubt; and that they will put their irreplaceable lives off the balance.

国同士で競い合うのをやめ手を取り合うことを、武器を一斉に廃棄することを、文明が平等と均衡と和平の賜物であると証明することを、お互いの存在を尊重し一切の恐れや疑いを手放すことを、そしてかけがえのない命を天秤から下ろすことを、せめてこの両の手を合わせ一心に祈ります。
