I showed 6 items of artwork at the RenovArt | 100 Artists for the Future (July Edition) exhibition, hosted by ApuliaAste, and held at the Spazio Opera opera house, in Matera, Italy. The exhibition will be held during the period of July 7th - 31st, 2022.
RenovArt is a curation project dedicated to gathering the greatest artistic talent, domestic and worldwide. Thanks to the efforts of the art historian Carmela Loiacono, this project is held to advance the development of modern art and enhance knowledge, as demonstrated through the regeneration and promotion of homegrown and international artists.
Thanks to an unexpectedly generous and welcome outpouring of kind comments from the many visitors who came to the previous exhibition, I was given the opportunity to receive a special exhibit space. Continuing from the earlier exhibit, during which I exhibited 2 items of artwork -- "The Justice of Equality" and "A Regenerated World" -- I am showing 4 additional new pieces -- "Karma," "Kuan Yin Bodhisattva," "Avatar, " and "Distance."
Italy and Japan are in completely opposite situations under current global circumstances, but that made me realize that art can be the bridge that transcends borders and connects people together, a realization that unexpectedly brought me to tears. I felt glad to still remain alive and useful, and at the very least, thought that I still had things I needed to do in my life. The agony of practically having the body ripped away from the soul, and the inexpressible discord with the world, must be cleansed through prayers and blessings for each and every soul, and sublimated into "beauty."
I believe that art will become widely necessary on this earth when we achieve a post-war world. During this once-in-a-thousand years energy transition, those of us who have the hearts to empathize and take an interest in art during such upheaval, are most likely people who have already lost something important, and are surely walking toward something new, proceeding together with the gentle sprouting of fresh buds.
Our current world is awash in "death," and likewise in new "life." At this enormous turning point for this era, our generation must build a foundation where life can proceed in peace and happiness, where the children who will give birth to our future can grow up together with blessed joy.
I am proud to be invited from Japan and given the opportunity to participate in this honored exhibition. For that, I give my most heartfelt thanks.
RenovArt | 100 Artists for the Future展に 6点の作品を出展いたしました。
前回に引き続き「The Justice of Equality / 平和」と「A Regenerated World / 新世界」の 2作品を展示させていただき、新たに「Karma / 業」「Kuan Yin Bodhisattva / 救世菩薩」「Avatar / 化身」「Distance / 心」の 4作品を展示させていただきました。

The main objective is to take care of and support the careers of national and international artists, creating an open dialogue, an exchange of ideas and contacts between collectors, painters, photographers, sculptors and professionals for the development and knowledge of Contemporary Art.
Kuan Yin Bodhisattva /
Dec 2020 / 100 x 100 cm
Dec 2020 / 100 x 100 cm
This work was created to pray to the Kuan Yin Bodhisattva for people's peace of mind. Buddhism is a realm that transcends philosophy and science, and gods and Buddha exist beyond time and space. This work is not so much a prayer as it is a prayer itself, created with the strong desire to pray for the manifestation of the Bodhisattva in this world.
Karma / 業
Sep 2021 / 100 x 100 cm
Sep 2021 / 100 x 100 cm
The depth of human karma, the amount of things we learn every day, and the burden we carry on our own shoulders are unbearable, but we can only look at the darkness under our feet and move forward, one step at a time.
Avatar / 化身

Before we are born into this world, all of our lives are determined by our soul's life path. Every being is an incarnation of God, a separate Spirit, and all life is equal. In truth, we are omniscient beings. But we have to live by the rules of this 3D world for the sake of our soul practice. If you are faced with a challenge, remember this, you are precious and irreplaceable.

Currently, it is very difficult to predict the end point of this complex world situation, and at times like this, a multidimensional interpretation may be necessary. In other words, it is important to think about everyone, not just oneself.
In computer programming, there is such a thing as a multidimensional array; for example, a description such as xyz[1][3][5] is called a three-dimensional array, and a description such as {x:1, y:3, z:5} is called an associative array. At first, even two-dimensional arrays can be confusing, but the interesting thing about them is that once you understand them, they are easy to use from then on. In a three-dimensional array, associate a cube and map the variables and constants in it in mind. Then, from the four-dimensional array onward, the cube is duplicated, and eventually they are combined to form a cube again, and the rest of the image becomes an endless nested structure, which is easy to understand.
However, as the world enters a major turning point that occurs once in a millennium, I wondered if this "cube" interpretation was really sufficient. In other words, I thought that as long as we are stuck in the framework of the individual as an individual and feel a separation between oneself and others, we will not be able to reach a higher understanding. Modern science advocates that if there is an extra dimension, it is in the microscopic world, but is this really true? In the " Metaphor of the Cave" proposed by the ancient Greek philosopher Plato, it is mentioned that this world is a shadow of the world of truth (Idea).
Anyway, I feel that the present is a test to see if humanity can advance to the next stage. It feels as if we are being tested to see if we can care for others as much as we care for oneself.
Also, is what we call the "heart" really the true heart? Isn't it just a cage called "spirit" that functions to protect the ego?
We are currently in a complicated situation where we are in a stage of "separation," where we wear masks and distance ourselves from others, and at the same time, the enclosed space is being opened up. However, when a space is closed, it is opened widely, and when it is separated, it is sure to be combined eventually.
Just looking at the number of people lost around the world that is announced every day, it is truly heartbreaking. However, I believe that all of this is a pandemic that is happening in order to change the world for the better, and that the day will come when we can look back at the present and realize that all of this was an important process.
Love is always beyond ego.
A Regenerated World / 新世界
May 2020 / 100 x 100 cm
May 2020 / 100 x 100 cm
This work was created with hope for a new coming age. The world is evolving at a tremendous pace, changing its face, and we can glimpse various aspects of the process and results. Anxiety, bewilderment, anticipation, and repose in the new era. All of these things are incorporated in the design of this plane.
The Justice of Equality / 平和
Jun 2020 / 100 x 100 cm
Jun 2020 / 100 x 100 cm
The Japanese title of this work is "Peace," and as the title suggests, it was created with a wish for peace. All people are equal, and all beings have value. Regardless of country of birth, language, color, wealth or poverty, all life is precious and irreplaceable. Great scholars and sinners, good and bad, all are equally blessed by God and born. There is not a single life in this world that is lost in vain.
